Your words.
Your story.
Your time.

Writing a book is hard enough. We take the guesswork out of what comes next.

We support writers like you through meaningful manuscript feedback, editing, coaching, and publishing guidance designed to help you understand the industry and your story’s place within it.

We don’t make promises about destiny…but we’ll help you be ready for it when it comes.

A Letter to Writers

As a writer, it’s all exhausted fun until you write The End. Because…then what? After months—years—of labor to produce your work, there is yet more work ahead. It’ll take more research. Charisma. A stiff spine. Humility. And no small amount of luck. All of that can feel not only daunting, but frankly…a bit lonely. Who can you trust?

Whether friends, family, arc reader, editor, or agent, when I hand my writing to someone else for scrutiny, my spine gets about as stiff as a dandelion run over by a Monster Truck. So many fears race through my mind: Will they like it? Will they steal it? …Is it good enough?

And receiving rejections from a query (or several…dozen) or a sour critique from a Dr. DevEditor thins our resilience, our patience, and our heart. Our faith in our calling to write.

But here we are, daring the world to give us a reason to write about it.

So, that brings me to who we are. The answer is both simple and complex. You’re in the company of writers and educators who love writing, and who lift up the people who are brave enough to try. For those of you who need to silence that little voice in the back of your head: No, we will not steal or share your story with someone else. We just aren’t wired that way. We truly, genuinely want to help you.

It takes a fellow writer to understand the journey to authorship. That each story requires a particular texture of paper and that perfect pen. Or that the keys need to feel and sound just right beneath your fingertips. The mood, the atmosphere—it all matters.

We believe it is not the pen that is iron, but the author who wields it.

Because in that moment of creative inception, we are the vessel, not the captains, of a story that demands to be written.

Iron Pen Advisory is built by writers, for writers. And for those who want authorship to be more than a dream.

Our Stance on AI-Generated and Public Domain Content

Before you make it to the Services section, please read this section carefully. We are firmly dedicated to humanity’s capacity for storytelling. At Iron Pen, we are resolved to protect writers and authors (both past and present) from predatory publishing and writing practices. We believe that stories matter because the people who write them matter. Internally, we may use Artificial Intelligence as a tool to enhance our business operations, but never as a replacement for the people earned their wisdom through years (and years and years and years) of education and experience. You can trust that our services are provided by very real and highly-caffeinated humans.

As a result, we do not accept projects that are:

  • Generated by language models or written by someone other than the person purchasing our services

  • Whole or in-part previously published works currently protected by copyright (cuz it’s, like, illegal)

  • Not original, where the author is not creating new intellectual property

  • Non-fiction works composed without the documented permission/awareness of the affected parties

We reserve the right to refuse clients at our discretion for any reason. By purchasing our services, you understand and accept that we will conduct a preliminary evaluation of any writing submitted to us, which includes reviewing submitted work for originality and authenticity, as well as cross-referencing existing published works with the United States Copyright Office.
